Message by RA NA President Alen Simonyan on 32nd anniversary of RA independence
Dear compatriots, today we celebrate the 32nd anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia, living through one of the most difficult periods in our history. Our country and statehood are facing serious challenges that we should overcome today. We should continue to move forward firmly, united, principled and full of faith, preserve, strengthen our statehood, our independence, security and finally let our children inherit a free, independent and peaceful Armenia.
I am sure, yes, I am sure that we will be able to, as we have proven many times that when we are united, do the impossible, now we will succeed as well. With our faith in our strengths, our principles, our unity, our love for the Republic of Armenia, we will pass through this too.
We have been going through terrible blows in recent years, and our people and statehood are standing. We are paying an inhumanly high price, every day we move forward together again and again, fighting together for our country and our people, for our future. Doesn’t everything we have seen in these years and what we are experiencing now suggest to us, all of us, that we, each of us and all of us together, have a mission and this is not a coincidence? Yes, all this is not coincidence and cannot be: This is the mission of all of us.
We should together, in spite of all the disasters, continue our mission, that is, create a future for our eternal people, our state and statehood: I see it, I know it, I believe it.
Hence, today, on the 32nd anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia, we should be firm, conscious and united, believe in Armenians and Armenians’ wisdom, believe in ourselves and our strengths. Let’s move forward decisively and confidently together, for the sake of the Armenian people, for the sake of the Republic of Armenia and our children, for the sake of strengthening our independence and sovereignty.
Happy Independence Day, our eternal Armenia.
