You have a future. Into the fires of Gehenna

September 22,2023 09:00

Over 200 Artsakh servicemen and at least ten civilians, including five children, were killed in the last three days. The Azerbaijani army has come close to Stepanakert, and I don’t want even to write what will follow it. On September 21, the Prime Minister of Armenia delivered a message. What is the Armenian head of state expected to say in this situation?

Perhaps he should have said: “Glory and honor to our heroes, who resisted the 60,000-strong army of the enemy with a few hundred people, thanks to those Russian peacekeepers who, contrary to the policy of their country, did their duty, my condolences for the families of all the victims.”

And what is Pashinyan talking about at this fateful moment? Alma-Ata’s declaration, which allegedly requires considering Artsakh as a part of Azerbaijan, and supposedly that is the guarantee of Armenia’s independence (I wonder why it didn’t occur to him until 2022) and “on the other hand,” he is deceiving that many are calling to abandon the “policy based on that declaration.”

Meanwhile, Pashinyan’s policy is not based on any declaration; it is based purely on keeping his seat and satisfying the vapors of his own “ego.” And those delusions can change every half hour.

Ultimately, the Prime Minister assured us we are walking the path of a peaceful and prosperous future. When a slaughter can start in Artsakh every minute, it sounds peculiar I would say satanic cynicism. Only the statement of Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian President that he sees no danger of ethnic cleansing in Artsakh will compete with that. Of course, Western leaders are no less cynical, who called on Azerbaijan every hour to stop military operations, knowing perfectly well that it was just a shock of air. But I don’t think lying cynicism or lack of conscience will always go unpunished. Punishment will come, and I’m sure very soon.

“It will not be possible to justify yourself with words, nor to hide under a coat, nor to fake with a mask, nor to approach with hypocritical words, nor to deceive with artificial forms, nor to lie with sharp words” (The Book of Sadness by Gregory of Narek, DA(chapter41 ). There is a future. For some, that future will be in the fires of hell.
