Citizens moving from Artsakh to Armenia will be received at the humanitarian center established in the field part of Kornidzor settlement of Syunik Region about a month ago; registration works will be carried out, Karen Balyan, Advisor to Syunik Region Governor, told Aravot.am. A working group was created on the recommendation of Governor Robert Ghukasyan regarding the possible flow of citizens from Nagorno-Karabakh. A group of volunteers attached to the working group was formed, mainly students of Goris State University.
“We plan to receive our compatriots in the humanitarian center of Kornidzor and then distribute them to temporary locations. We are ready to accept our compatriots in case of possible displacement. Take care of their needs: housing, food. We have already inventoried most of the free places where overnight accommodation can be provided for our compatriots, and it will be in the Goris region and the entire region,” said Karen Balyan.
At the government meeting held on September 22, a decision was made to allocate 15,911.7 thousand AMD from the government’s reserve fund to the humanitarian camp.
