The world should know what is happening there. We hear from the government of Azerbaijan that there is no need to worry, and if that statement is true, it means that international observers can enter to get to know the situation on the spot,” he said in a briefing with journalists. Peters also met with those Artsakh residents in Syunik who could not reach their families and relatives due to the closed road.
“They have been suffering for months because of the blockade. Even now, they are worried about their relatives. There is a shortage of food, medical supplies, and fuel. The situation is dire,” said Gary Peters, assuring that he will tell his American colleagues about what he saw.
“We must make efforts for the entry of international observers to Nagorno Karabakh and see what is happening, and help so that the residents of Nagorno Karabakh receive respect and dignified treatment,” said the Senator.
Congress members also visited the humanitarian center of Kornidzor. Here, the Governor’s staff of Syunik is ready to receive our compatriots moving from Artsakh.
