Together with my colleagues Seyran Ohanyan, Anna Grigoryan and Lilit Galstyan, we hosted the delegation led by the US Senator Gary Peters in the National Assembly of Armenia.
The details and cruel consequences of another large-scale attack unleashed by Azerbaijan on September 19 in Artsakh were discussed at the meeting.
I presented to Mr. Peters the terrible consequences of the genocidal and ethnic cleansing policy conducted by Azerbaijan towards the 120,000 Armenians who have been under prolonged siege in Artsakh for more than nine months, are deprived of basic living conditions, are the direct target of the enemy, and engaged in a constant struggle for survival every minute.

I emphasized that just as the whole world witnessed the Armenian Genocide in 1915, today, with the tacit consent of the civilized world, the Azerbaijani forces, putting the Artsakh Armenians under siege, shoot and bombard the civilians with airstrikes, missiles of various calibers, and brutally kill not only men, but also children, women and the elderly, and remain unpunished.
In this context, the thesis voiced by Azerbaijan that peaceful coexistence with Azerbaijan is possible has nothing to do with reality, and the safe transfer of all people in Artsakh to Armenia is a vital necessity.
I requested Mr. Peters to use all possible levers to impose sanctions on the aggressor and genocidal Azerbaijan by the USA.
