On September 28, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a telephone conversation with Leo Docherty, Minister for Europe of the United Kingdom.
Foreign Minister of Armenia drew his interlocutor’s attention to the consequences of the military offensive carried out by Azerbaijan against the people of Nagorno-Karabakh on September 19, targeting settlements and civilian population, which led to mass forcible displacement of the population of Nagorno-Karabakh.
Minister Mirzoyan emphasised the imperative of clear assessments and excluding further cases of use of force through effective use of relevant mechanisms by international partners and structures.
Foreign Minister of Armenia emphasised that Azerbaijan continued its practice of use of force despite the contrary assurances voiced by it in recent months.
