23-year-old Anna Shabaryan is one of the forcibly displaced people from Artsakh. She reached Kornidzor from Stepanakert in 3 days. “We didn’t imagine we would have to come such a long way; we didn’t take food and water. Traffic jams on the road, people were getting worse. Thank God, we are now in Armenia,” says Anna. She wants to live and work in Yerevan. She says that it was difficult to decide to leave Artsakh.
“It is tough to leave your home and homeland to go out. We somehow made that decision; we didn’t want to leave until the last moment,” she says. No matter how much they talk about living together with the enemy, Anna Shabaryan is convinced that it is impossible. “Now everything is in their hands; why should we stay? Who should we stay with?”
Anna Shabaryan mentioned in a conversation with Aravot.am.
