Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan received the newly appointed Head of the EU delegation in Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos.
Congratulating the Ambassador on the occasion of the start of the diplomatic mission in Armenia, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed confidence that efforts will be made by both sides during the Ambassador’s tenure to further strengthen Armenia-EU relations and increase the efficiency of cooperation.
The Deputy Prime Minister presented to the interlocutor the primary needs of the people forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh, as well as the short-term and medium-term measures to be taken by the Government to meet them.

Vassilis Maragos expressed concern about the created humanitarian situation, reaffirming the readiness of the EU to support the plans of the Armenian government aimed at meeting the needs of people forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh.
The interlocutors also exchanged ideas on the course of cooperation in a number of directions under the EU Economic and Investment Plan.
