We will suffer, not Pashinyan

October 04,2023 10:30

After ratifying the Rome Statute, some representatives and supporters of the opposition seemed a little happy: “Well, now Nikol will suffer.” They are wrong: we will “suffer.”

Due to the short-sighted policy of our authorities, Russia took steps against Artsakh and Armenia, resulting in tens of thousands of Armenians suffering, but not the Armenian authorities. The Kremlin will bring new “countermeasures” in response to the Rome Statute, turning off Russian TV channels, leaving the CSTO and other possible steps and they will again be directed against our state and not the government. If the gas price becomes 1,500 dollars instead of today’s 168, will Pashinyan and the Civil Contract members suffer? No, they have already “corrected” themselves enough and can have gas in their homes at an expensive price. Ordinary citizens will catch a cold, and while catching a cold, they will say: “The Russian made gas more expensive; what would that poor naive do?” And the “Russian” will do everything to keep that “naive” in power. Because a more  ignorant government that does not understand anything about international relations and the balance of power is unlikely to be found.

Let me draw the attention of our “Western-oriented” figures to a circumstance that seems to have escaped the public’s attention. Russian Minister of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev arrived in Armenia at the hottest moment of opposition rallies.

What should the principal police officer of the Russian Federation discuss with the Armenian prime minister? I assume he was offering his country’s help in case the opposition rallies threatened Pashinyan. So, the next time “pro-Westerners” start defending the current government from malicious supporters of “Gubernia,” (province) let them take into account that their protégé is the most enthusiastic supporter of “Tsayragavar”(border region).

Of course, those oppositionists who hope that Russia will contribute to the change of power should also consider this.
