The course of social support programs implemented for forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh presented
The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Narek Mkrtchyan, and the press secretary of the Minister, Zaruhi Manucharyan, presented from the “Humanitarian Center” of the Government the process of social support programs implemented for people forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh.
Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan noted that more than 80,000 people have received the one-time assistance of 100,000 AMD. “Out of about 30,000 minor children, applications have already been submitted for 27,300.

During the previous week, 14,593 children were already paid. The remaining applications are under processing, we will pay them in the coming days. Upon receiving the data from the Central Bank, we will also pay the citizens who received new bank cards,” said the minister, adding that more than 4,000 people who received new cards have already received the one-time assistance.
The next medium-term program concerns rental housing funding. Each person will be given 40,000 AMD for renting an apartment, and 10,000 AMD for utility costs. Narek Mkrtchyan emphasized that there is no need to fill out a separate application for the month of October, as the amount for renting the apartment and the amount for utility expenses will be transferred to the card accounts to which the one-time support of 100,000 AMD was transferred. An application must be filled out on the relevant platform already from November.
According to the minister, the money for renting an apartment is intended for those persons who are in Armenia and do not own property in Armenia. Persons who are in state care centers, as well as in state and community-owned buildings are also not beneficiaries of this program. People who own property in Armenia can benefit from only AMD 10,000 support for utility costs.
Work is also being carried out to ensure employment for our compatriots forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh. Narek Mkrtchyan informed that our compatriots can get consultation for work in 49 regional centers of the Unified Social Service. more than 150 people have been referred to different employers. From October 16, the Ministry of Education and Culture has launched a platform that will enable teachers to find vacancies. As of now, there are more than 1,400 teacher vacancies in the educational institutions of the regions of Armenia, where the forcibly displaced teachers from Nagorno-Karabakh can be employed. Narek Mkrtchyani noted that more than 5,000 vacancies are posted on the website www.workforall.am. More than 270 organizations and companies have filed an application on the social support map platform.
More than 220 people are in various care facilities. A comprehensive needs assessment platform has also been launched. As of now, the needs of 80,000 has been assessed. According to the latest data, the 114 hotline handled more than 58,500 calls.
The minister also informed that currently work is being done to develop long-term programs.
