Viva-MTS is the General Partner of the State Award of Republic of Armenia for Global Contribution to Humanity through High- Tech

The winner of the State Award of Republic of Armenia for Global Contribution to Humanity through High- Tech for 2022 Shantanu Narayen, the Chair and CEO of Adobe, visited Viva-MTS for participation in a joint press conference.

The winner of the State Award of Republic of Armenia for Global Contribution to Humanity through High- Tech for 2022 is Shantanu Narayen, the Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Adobe. Today on October 18, during the award ceremony at the Residence of the President of Armenia, Shantanu Narayen, who is on a visit to Armenia, will receive the well-deserved prize in high-tech industry. For thirteen years in a row the General Partner of the event is Viva-MTS.

Shantanu Narayen who is chair and chief executive officer of Adobe, one of the largest and most diversified software companies in the world, visited Viva-MTS to take part in the press conference and to exchange ideas with Armenian ICT Community. The joint press conference was presided by Shantanu Narayen, Viva-MTS General Director Armen Avetisian, the Minister of High-Tech Industries of Armenia Robert Khachatryan, Director of “Synopsys Armenia”, Award Organizational Committee Coordinator Hovik Musayelyan, and Director of Engineering at Adobe Arsen Babayan.

Viva-MTS General Director Armen Avetisian opened the press conference and welcomed the outstanding guest. “We are honored to host Mr. Shantanu Narayen today at our Headquarters, in the frame of the Global Hi-Tech State Award. This continuous event held in Armenia for the thirteenth time in a row and supported uninterruptedly by Viva-MTS delivers high value to Armenia, as truly revolutionary, game-changing world technology and business leaders visit our country, thus one more time underlining Armenia’s place on the technological map of the world.

Nowadays world is changing through digital experience. Digital transformation is a top priority for business and states around the globe. This creates broader applications for telecommunications and other technological companies. As Armenia’s leading telecommunications operators, we understand this very well and we are ahead of this process. I’m sure that Armenian ICT Community and academia will greatly benefit from the meetings with Mr. Narayen in terms of transforming and innovating business. Special thanks to the initiators and organizers of the Global High-Tech State Award”, Armen Avetisian said.

“Today, having the RA state award and presenting it to such technological giants as Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple Computer Corporation; James Trushard, co-founder of National Instruments; and Tony Fadel, founder of Nest Labs and creator of the iPod brand, is a great responsibility. Such initiatives like Global High tech State Award help to create connections and raise Armenia’s visibility as a high tech growing hub. We are confident that years later, the giants conferred this prestigious award will return to Armenia bringing with them state-of-the-art culture of high-tech, thus raising our state’s credibility and worldwide recognition as a country relying on knowledge and intellect”, emphasized Hovik Musayelyan.

Shantanu joined Adobe in 1998 as vice president and General Manager of its engineering technology group. He became president and COO in 2005, CEO in 2007, and chairman of the board in 2017. Shantanu is vice chairman of the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum and sits on the board of Pfizer. He previously served as a director of Dell and is a past member of the U.S. President’s Management Advisory Board. Shantanu has been recognized by several publications as one of the world’s leading executives, including Barron’s World’s Best CEOs and Fortune Businessperson of the Year lists, and named a Top CEO by Glassdoor based on employee feedback.

As CEO, Shantanu has transformed the company into an industry innovator by pioneering a cloud-based subscription model for its creative suite, establishing the global standard for digital documents, and creating and leading the explosive digital experience category. Under Shantanu’s leadership, Adobe has achieved record revenue and industry recognition for its inclusive, innovative, and exceptional workplace, including being continuously named a Great Place to Work and a Most Admired Company by Fortune.
