It is proposed to add to the Law on Atmospheric Air Protection the norms for establishing the procedure for assessing the impact of economic activity on the atmosphere by the Government, and for the development of it by the authorized body, clarifying the duties of entrepreneurs in terms of compensation for the damage assessed in the appropriate order.
The Head of the Inspection Bodies’ Coordination Bureau of the RA Prime Minister’s Staff Petros Martirosyan informed this during the debate of the legislative package on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Atmospheric Air Protection and on Making Amendments the RA Code on Administrative Offenses.
It is proposed to match the existing regulations of the law on Atmospheric Air Protection and the RA Code on Administrative Offenses, reserving to local self-government bodies under the law on Atmospheric Air Protection the control over the transportation of construction waste along a specially defined route and to specially allocated places, as well as to exclude the repetitions in the Code regarding the issues of placing construction waste in non-defined places and transporting it along a defined route.
The Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Protection endorsed the legislative package debated in the first reading.
