In continuation of the Embassy’s engagement with the US Congress on October 24 Ambassador Makunts had a meeting with Congressman Ami Bera (D-California).
During the meeting the interlocutors discussed the consequences of September 19 attack of Azerbaijan on Nagorno Karabakh, specifically the ethnic cleansing of the Nagorno Karabakh Armenians and assistance being provided to those people.
The Ambassador introduced to the Congressman the cor eprinciples, which are essential to establish sustainable peace in the region.
