A national platform on democratic security sector oversight was jointly created with the Security Council adjunct to the RA NA Standing Committee on Defence and Security by the support of the OSCE Office in Yerevan.
Representatives of the power structures of Armenia, Ombudsman, experts from the OSCE and other concerned persons took part in the discussions in an extended format. The activities of the created platform are aimed at the reforms of the security sector, the strengthening of the NA Government-civil society cooperation and the parliamentary oversight tools. During the two-day meetings security important issues were pivotal.
