The members of the Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Protection held a minute’s silence in memory of the RA NA deputy, the Committee member Matevos Asatryan.
On November 10, the Committee debated the draft law on Making Amendments and Addendum to the Law on Local Self-Government in the City of Yerevan in the second reading.
The RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Vache Terteryan noted that according to the current law, the acts of the Council of Elders are posted on the official website of the municipality within a week after their adoption. “We propose that the legal acts of the Mayor, the normative individual and internal legal acts of the Council of Elders are submitted to the authorized body within one week, in order to publish them on the unified website for the publication of normative legal acts. At the same time, it will be posted on the official website of the municipality. In other words, almost all the legal acts of the city of Yerevan will be published on the unified website for the publication of normative legal acts after their adoption,” Vache Terteryan said.
On November 10, 1996, local self-government elections were held for the first time in the RA. Since that day, November 10 is considered the day of local self-government bodies. In this regard, the Chair of the Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Protection Vahe Ghalumyan congratulated his colleagues, all the members of the RA Local Self-Government System, underscoring that the local self-government system is one of the cornerstones of our country, our state.
