News.am. Second President Robert Kocharyan’a son, Levon Kocharyan, who was elected as an MP, took the oath and assumed his respective duties at Tuesday’s regular session of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia.
Recently, Armen Charchyan, an MP of the opposition “Armenia” Faction in the NA, submitted a petition to the NA speaker to give up his parliamentary seat.
Subsequently, the next three candidates on the proportional representation electoral list of the “Armenia” bloc had submitted petitions for self-revocation to the Central Electoral Commission.
Thus, the aforesaid vacant parliamentary seat of the “Armenia” Faction in the NA was transferred to Levon Kocharyan, the next candidate on the proportional representation electoral list of the “Armenia” bloc.
