On November 14, in London, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Alicia Kearns, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the UK Parliament.
The interlocutors touched upon the issues of the expansion of the Armenian-British political dialogue, the existing cooperation and prospects, and, in this context, they valued the launch of the Armenia-UK strategic dialogue the day before.
The Foreign Minister of Armenia briefed his interlocutors on the current security and humanitarian situation in the region, emphasizing the importance of expression of public and clear commitment by all parties involved in promoting the peace agenda.
Minister Mirzoyan highlighted the importance of calling what happened in Nagorno-Karabakh by its proper name stressing the role of the parliamentary framework in this regard. He also touched upon the steps, including in cooperation with international partners, taken towards addressing the primary needs of more than 100,000 forcibly displaced Armenians as a result of ethnic cleansing by Azerbaijan.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on the implementation of the “Crossroads of Peace” project developed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
