On November 15, Arsen Avagyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Islamic Republic of Iran visited the central office of the Islamic Republic News Agancy / IRNA, where he toured various departments of the agency and had a meeting with IRNA General Director Ali Naderi.
During the meeting the Armenian Ambassador noted that Armenia and Iran have a thousand-year common history, cultural and historical ties and the role of the media is important to make all these available to the public of both countries. Arsen Avagyan also noted that the MoU signed between Armenpress and IRNA in 2017 can be a good basis for cooperation.
Mr. Naderi in his turn presented the main activities of IRNA and the rich history of the news agency.
Both sides reached an agreement on the implementation of joint programs in order to cover the culture, history and tourist opportunities of the two countries.
