Though a resolution will not be adopted in this Autumn Meeting, but as Sargis Khandanyan said, most of the delegations are here to support Armenia and the democratic reforms of Armenia.
According to the Head of the RA NA delegation to OSCE PA, the Autumn Meeting is more a platform of discussions. Regarding the delegations that have not arrived, have not given clarifications. Yesterday, the delegation of Russia addressed with a letter to the OSCE PA President, informing that their delegation will not take part in this Autumn Meeting.
Sargis Khandanyan particularly noted that he does not know why the delegation of Russia made a decision not to take part in the work of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. “I should mention that the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia is not the one that have sent invitations. The International Secretariat is engaged with it: the invitations were sent to the parliaments of all 56 countries and 11 partner countries. Referring to the delegation of Azerbaijan, they have raised the issue several times in different formats about ensuring their security in Armenia. The RA NA responded that it is ready to ensure the deputies’ security,” Sargis Khandanyan underscored.
The Head of the RA NA delegation to OSCE PA also informed that the day before the OSCE PA President and the Secretary General had meetings with the RA high ranking officials, as well as also visited the lodgings of our compatriots forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh and got acquainted with their problems.
