At November 27 sitting, the RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs debated the issue on proposing the candidacy of Hakob Mihranyan represented by the NA Civil Contract Faction for the vacancy of the RA Audit Chamber and the candidate for that position to the National Assembly.
The Committee Chair Gevorg Papoyan presented the candidate’s biographical data and work career. He informed that Hakob Mihranyan graduated from the Armenian National Agrarian University (ANAU), Economist-Internationalist. He has been working in the Audit Chamber since 2010.
The candidate thanked the NA Civil Contract Faction for proposing his candidacy. Hakob Mihranyan noted that the rectification of the legislative gaps, establishing post-control processes, the access to complete information concerning the audit subject and audit object are key steps for ensuring the audit efficiency.
“If the honour of working in that position is trusted in me, I am obliged to strengthen the connection between the public administration and public control. I will defend the initiatives that boost the cooperation environment between the state bodies and the Audit Chamber, ensuring transparency and dialogue, which will promote the rise of efficiency of the public administration control processes,” Hakob Mihranyan said.

The Committee also debated the draft decision of convening a joint sitting of the NA Standing Committees.
Gevorg Papoyan proposed to convene a joint sitting of the Standing Committees on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs and on Economic Affairs.
At the sitting the current conclusion of the Audit Chamber on the report results of the digital conversion digitization process of the Republic of Armenia will be debated.
The Committee positively reacted to the proposal.
