On November 29, within the framework of the OSCE Ministerial Council, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Luminița Odobescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania.
During the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation between Armenia and Romania were discussed, both sides emphasized the willingness to expand political dialogue, cooperation in economic and other fields, including through mutual high-level visits.
The implementation of regional programs was touched upon. In that context, Ararat Mirzoyan presented the “Crossroads of Peace” project developed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia as a guarantee of effective interdependence between the countries of the South Caucasus, as well as of the wider region and, therefore, stability in the region.
Views were exchanged on issues of the Armenia-EU partnership, and among other fields, an emphasis was placed on the need to maximize the existing potential for mutually beneficial cooperation in the renewable energy sector.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Romania also discussed regional security issues. Emphasizing Armenia’s strong commitment, Ararat Mirzoyan underlined the importance of Azerbaijan’s clear commitment to abandoning maximalist aspirations, the practice of continuous use of force or the threat of use of force: it will enable achieving stability in the South Caucasus.
