Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan received the Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos.
Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister thanked for the efforts aimed at the activation of cooperation and expressed hope that the mutual commitment to deepen Armenia-EU cooperation will give new impetus to the rapid implementation of current and expected initiatives.
Arayik Harutyunyan, referring to the problems of forcibly displaced people from Nagorno Karabakh, attached importance to the continuous support of the European Union aimed at addressing the needs of refugees.

The interlocutors exchanged thoughts on the progress and prospects of cooperation between Armenia and the European Union, referred to regional and security developments, and the course of reforms initiated by the Armenian government. In this context, the interlocutors also referred to strategic communication, the imperative to introduce and establish it as an institution, consider the possibilities and mechanisms of studying and adapting the best practices of the European Union.
While presenting the “Crossroads of Peace” project to the Head of the European Union delegation in Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister noted that the Armenian government expects the active support of all international partners in the implementation of this important regional initiative.
The sides agreed to make joint efforts to make the current cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union more effective.
