On December 14, on the sidelines of the World Refugee Forum in Geneva, Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan had a meeting with Raouf Mazou, the Assistant High Commissioner for Operations of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
The Deputy Foreign Minister presented the work carried out by the Government of the Republic of Armenia aimed at protecting the rights and addressing the needs of people forcibly displaced as a result of the ethnic cleansing in Nagorno-Karabakh, and briefed on the projects aimed at overcoming mid-term and long-term issues of refugees.
Both sides emphasized the importance of exercising the right of return of the Nagorno-Karabakh population in accordance with the legally binding Order of the UN International Court of Justice adopted on November 17.
