The 22nd session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation was held in Yerevan, co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk.
During the plenary session of the Intergovernmental Commission, the deputy prime ministers of the two countries made speeches. The co-chairs of the commission particularly emphasized the positive dynamics of Armenian-Russian trade and economic relations. Mher Grigoryan noted that the agreements reached during the previous session were effectively implemented and expressed confidence that the agreements reached within the framework of this session will also be properly implemented by both countries.
Based on the results of the session, the co-chairs of the commission signed a protocol, as well as “The plan of activities of the economic cooperation program between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Russian Federation for the years 2023-2025”.

At the end of the session, in the presence of the deputy prime ministers of the two countries, the framework agreement on the implementation of a series of measures to extend the operation period of power unit No. 2 of the Armenian NPP and the 2024 work plan of the Armenian-Russian business council were also signed.
Before the session, the working meeting of Mher Grigoryan and Alexey Overchuk took place, during which the topical issues related to the economic cooperation of the two countries were discussed.
