The RA NA Vice President Hakob Arshakyan received the delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the RA Fan Yong.
“The People’s Republic of China is one of Armenia’s important partners. The historical friendship between Armenia and China and the warm relations between the states are developing upwards and have a multifaceted nature,” Hakob Arshakyan said, welcoming the guests in the Parliament.
The Ambassador highly appreciated the level of political dialogue between Armenia and China, noting that Armenian-Chinese relations are actively developing. According to Fan Yong, parliamentary interaction should be activated, mutual visits should be more frequent.
The NA Vice President highlighted the further deepening and development of the relations between the two countries, underlining that the inter-parliamentary ties play a significant role in bilateral cooperation.

Within the framework of inter-parliamentary interaction, he attached particular importance to the work of the Friendship Groups.
The parties referred to the directions of cooperation between the two countries and future programmes. The necessity of expansion of economic ties, deepening of cooperation in the fields of high technologies and education was emphasized.
The NA Vice President presented the Crossroads of Peace project developed by the RA Government, noting that it is an important and effective programme not only for Armenia, but also for the countries of the region and international partners.
In response, the Ambassador noted that the possibility of interaction within the framework of the One Belt, One Road initiative and the Crossroads of Peace project can be considered as well.
The members of the NA Armenia-China Friendship Group Lena Nazaryan, Aleksey Sandikov, Armen Khachatryan and Taguhi Ghazaryan attended the meeting.
The guests, ccompanied by Hakob Arshakyan, took a tour in the NA building, visited the session hall of the National Assembly, the library, got acquainted with the exhibits of the Parliament Museum.
