/TASS/. Baku and Yerevan are ready to finalize a peace treaty, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Channel One television.
“They are not opposing sides. They state their full readiness to reach a common document, to finalize the peace talks, to reach a common document, a peace treaty. There is no risk here,” he said.
Moscow is ready to assist Armenia and Azerbaijan in finalizing their work on a peace treaty, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the Izvestia television channel on Tuesday.
“In fact, both sides declared on numerous recent occasions their readiness to complete the effort, to finalize the work on the peace treaty. Russia is ready to assist them, ready to welcome it,” the Kremlin spokesman said.

He underscored that Russia was not forcing anyone to accept its mediator services. However, Moscow fully realized the importance of completing the peace treaty, Peskov said.
“It is very important for us that our two partners and allies – not only within the CIS framework but also within our high-level bilateral relations – signed this treaty as soon as possible,” Peskov said, adding that signing the document would bring about the atmosphere of peace, stability and predictability in the Caucasus region, which is of utmost importance for Moscow.
