Aram Ghazaryan, a former police chief of Armenia’s Shirak Province, has been appointed governor of Lori Province.
His appointment was approved at a cabinet meeting on Thursday.
The new governor said that he had lived and worked in Lori for many years and was well aware of the local problems.
“If appointed, I am ready to resolve the outstanding issues with great dedication and responsibility and contribute to the continuous development of the province,” Ghazaryan told cabinet members.
