On February 16, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Ian Borg, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Minister for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade of Malta.
In continuation of the meeting held in November 2023, on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Skopje, the Ministers discussed a number of issues of mutual interest.
The issues on the agenda of the political dialogue between Armenia and Malta, as well as the possibilities of further strengthening of ties in areas that have significant development potential were touched upon.
The Ministers also discussed the prospects of deepening the Armenia-EU partnership and the steps undertaken in that direction.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Ian Borg also exchanged views on the security situation in the South Caucasus and the latest developments in the region. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the approaches of Armenia in solving the existing challenges, as well as to the normalization process of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations based on the principles of territorial integrity, inviolability of borders, and respect for sovereignty.
In the context of regional topics, issues on OSCE activities were also touched upon, emphasizing the importance of the effective use of existing tools to contribute to regional stability and security in accordance with the organization’s mandate.
