Starting from 2005, the year of its establishment, Viva-MTS has been dedicated to shaping public culture. A clear testament to this is the implementation of programs aimed at the development of generations, in parallel with maintaining a responsible business company.
Viva-MTS employees appreciate the role of books and the importance of self-development. The birthday of the “All-Armenian poet” Hovhannes Tumanyan is a wonderful occasion to organize a small-scale celebration within the organization. The development of technologies and innovative solutions give the opportunity of electronic reading, but there are some employees favoring the palpable feel of books and prefer traditional reading methods. Those who want to give books to each other gathered in Viva-MTS’s assembly hall, with giver-recipient pairs generated randomly. To make the event even more interesting, the privacy of the selected pairs was preserved, but to ensure an appreciated gift, preferences in reading style and language were shared to the buyers. The event was preceded by a quiz, the winners of which were awarded prizes and certificates by the General Director.
“The foundation for the future is laid today, and that’s beyond question. At the core of development is the formula that guides educated and knowledgeable people. There is nothing more nourishing to a human nature than reading. We are free to choose the food we give to our mind. And yet, it would be preferable to have something of proper quality, informative, as well as shaping a breadth of knowledge and love for people. That’s because the accumulated knowledge is later reflected in everything that one does in later years. In an era of technologies, knowledge has become easier and faster to access. Big initiatives require willingness to do so and knowledge. We stick to the chosen path, keeping the message of the great poet in mind: “Only noble deeds will never die, Through the centuries gloried and famed. Happy the man who through his deeds Wins an immortal name,” Viva-MTS General Director Armen Avetisian said.
