A regular Cabinet meeting took place today, chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
The Government approved report on the implementation process and results of the Government’s Action Plan 2021-2026 for the year of 2023.
The report includes indicators describing the socio-economic picture of Armenia in 2023, as well as data on the ranking of Armenia in a number of prestigious international rankings, which demonstrate the content and results of the reforms implemented by the Government.
By the Government’s decision, it is planned to redistribute the amount of 638,444.4 thousand AMD from the 2024 state budget to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports for the implementation of capital projects, directing the money to the design and construction of kindergartens and sports schools, as well as workout sport grounds. In addition, the decision also envisages transferring the powers of the contracting authority for the construction of 23 schools and 11 educational complexes to the Armenia Territorial Development Fund. The decision will also make redistribution among 300 school program implementers. As a result, more favorable building conditions for educational and sports education will be provided.

By the government’s decision, changes and additions were made to the Government’s decision N 2323-N of December 28, 2023, specifically to allocate 873,150.0 thousand AMD from the reserve fund of the 2024 state budget for the implementation of the program “Organizing a short-term training course for people forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh in 2023 and providing support for gaining work experience” in order to provide support to 1000 beneficiaries within the framework of the event. As a result of the decision, it is expected to provide support to 1000 people forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh in 2023 to fill the available vacancies with the necessary professional abilities and skills, ensuring their stable employment.
According to the Government decision, in order to ensure the continuation of the program of partial reimbursement of expenses for the use of surrogate mother services and the acquisition of donor eggs within the framework of the measure to support the reproductive health of the parents of fallen servicemen, for the first quarter of 2024, 15,250 million AMD will be allocated from the reserve fund of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
