We are very much interested in closer and more substantive cooperation with your Committee: The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Vladimir Vardanyan said, receiving with the Committee members the delegation led by the Chairwoman of the Committee on Legal Affairs of the FRG Bundestag Elisabeth Winkelmeier-Becker on February 26.
Thanking their colleagues for reception, Elisabeth Winkelmeier-Becker presented to them the functions of the Committee headed by her, noting that besides that, the Committee also debates topical issues, among them, for example, the legality of war operations and the crimes in Ukraine.

In this context, the member of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Artsvik Minasyan touched upon the war operations committed by Azerbaijan against the people of Nagorno Karabakh and the Republic of Armenia, also was interested in the possibility of bringing the war criminals to justice.
The interlocutors referred to the debate of the bills in the Committees, the power-opposition relations during the legislative work and their disagreements. “We agree in the issues, which relate to our citizens’ life and the improvement of their life,” Elisabeth Winkelmeier-Becker said, mentioning also the disagreements having with the ruling party colleagues.
Reference was also made to the reforms of the legal sphere being implemented in Armenia.
