At present Armenia unequivocally accepts the guarantees issued by the banks licensed from the Central Banks of the EEU partner countries. In case of taking part in the state and municipal, banking guarantee is required from the Armenian companies, but the guarantees issued by the Armenian banks are not accepted by the customers.
According to this Agreement, rules are defined, and in case of complying with them a guarantee issued by any bank of the EEU member country should be acceptable by the customer.
Presenting the issue on Ratification of the Agreement on Mutual recognition of the bank guarantees during the implementation of the state (municipal) procurements, the RA Deputy Minister of Finance Avag Avanesyan clarified the new regulations.
According to the abovementioned rules, during the last 6 months the bank should not have insolvency and any process of financial recovery, should correspond with any rating level established by the rules of that country.” All the banks meet the mentioned requirements, and as result of the ratification of the Agreement, the RA companies will have bigger access to the procurement processes at the EEU state and municipal levels,” the Deputy Minister documented.
