The members of the Standing Committee on European Integration of the National Assembly met with the Head of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Armenia Vassilis Maragos.
The RA NA Deputy Chief of Staff Heghine Khachikyan and the Deputy Head of Cooperation for the EU Delegation to RA Silja Kasmann also took part in the meeting held on February 29.
Vassilis Maragos presented the projects being implemented in different spheres in Armenia with the assistance of the European Union, and their procedure. The Ambassador noted with satisfaction that 550 million from the assistance package of the planned 2.6 billion euros for Armenia by the EU economic and investment project had already been distributed. In parallel to this the reforms being made by the budgetary assistance projects continue.

According to Vassilis Maragos, the EU also tries to implement projects which will contribute to the creation of the opportunities and added value in the employment sector in Armenia.
The Armenian parliamentarians evaluated the RA-EU cooperation, underscored the efficiency of the projects being implemented in our country with the EU assistance.
At the meeting reference was made to the new package of the priorities of the RA-EU Partnership being at the elaboration phase at present.
