On March 4, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan met with Nikos Dendias, the Minister for National Defence of Greece, who was on an official visit to Armenia.
The interlocutors commended the high level of political dialogue between the two countries and stressed the importance of expanding cooperation in various fields of mutual interest. In this context, the recent visit of the Prime Minister of Armenia to Greece and the role of high-level mutual visits in the continuous enrichment of the bilateral agenda were mentioned.
The Foreign Minister of Armenia and the Minister for National Defence of Greece discussed issues of deepening the Armenia-EU partnership, emphasizing the importance of using the existing mechanisms to the maximum extent as well as the prospects of the partnership.

Views were exchanged on the possibilities of cooperation in different formats.
Regional topics were also touched upon. Minister Mirzoyan briefed on the latest discussions in the normalization process of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and the positions of Armenia on the existing key issues. Minister Mirzoyan stressed the efforts of Armenia to establish lasting peace in the South Caucasus, adding that achieving that goal requires clearly expressed commitment from both sides.
For his contribution to the development of relations between Armenia and Greece, including during his tenure as Foreign Minister of Greece, the Foreign Minister of Armenia awarded Nikos Dendias with the Order of Friendship of the Republic of Armenia.
