What was Mesrop Mashtots doing in the “territory of Azerbaijan”?

March 07,2024 13:30

Yesterday, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan paid tribute to Vazgen Sargsyan’s memory. If he strictly followed the concept of the state ideology developed by himself, then he should not have done this.

Vazgen Sargsyan dedicated his whole life to ensuring that Artsakh remains an Armenian land, as it has been for thousands of years. According to Pashinyan (and Aliyev), Nagorno-Karabakh is an inseparable part of Azerbaijan. Therefore, it turns out that Vazgen Sargsyan and all the other heroes who defended Artsakh with arms were engaged in the “wrong work.” They were “taking over someone else’s space”. It is true that during the 44-day war, Pashinyan did not mind our soldiers fighting there. However, it is not excluded that he was actually against it; he did not speak up.

Instead, by that “same ideology,” pictures of the heroes of the Artsakh war are removed and scraped from the walls of corridors of schools, medical institutions, and military units. This fits perfectly into the distorted “logic” of our authorities. Since that war was “wrong” and “it was for someone else’s territory,” then those guys don’t need to be remembered either.

And why only the Artsakh movement, the Declaration of Independence, and the Artsakh wars? The images of the Genocide monument should also be scraped from the walls of schools because they can cause feelings of “territorial ambitions” in children towards Turkey.

Also, Vardan Mamikonyan’s pictures. Should he have defended a “backward religion,” and what difference does it make whether we are Christian or Zoroastrian? Also, the images of Mesrop Mashtots. Where did he teach, in the monastery of Amaras? That’s to say, in the territory of Azerbaijan? What was he doing there?

Also, Vardan Mamikonyan’s pictures: Should he have defended a “backward religion,” and what difference does it make whether we are Christian or Zoroastrian? The same applies to the images of Mesrop Mashtots. Where did he teach, in the monastery of Amaras? That’s to say, in the territory of Azerbaijan? What was he doing there?

According to the same official concept, the Armenian people had only one heroic page – blocking roads in the spring of 2018. Therefore, those photos should be posted on the walls of all schools and medical institutions.

It is also possible to distribute “dukhov kepkas” (a cap with “dukhov-spirit” written on it) to all schoolchildren and to call today’s pioneers “young dukhaviks”.
