Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the delegation led by Lise Bech, Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Danish Parliament.
The Prime Minister welcomed the visit of the Danish delegation to Armenia and noted that the cooperation between the two countries is not so active. Nikol Pashinyan expressed hope that this visit will give a new impetus to Armenia-Denmark cooperation. At the same time, the Prime Minister attached importance to the development of inter-parliamentary relations and close cooperation, including within the framework of international platforms.
During the meeting, reference was made to the democratic reforms implemented in Armenia with the assistance of the European Union. Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized that the development and strengthening of democracy is of strategic importance for the Armenian government and our society, and steps in that direction will be consistent.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to Armenia-EU cooperation, processes taking place in the South Caucasus. The Prime Minister presented the principled positions of the Armenian side regarding the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty, the principles of the “Crossroads of Peace” project developed by the Armenian Government.
