On March 7, the delegation led by the RA NA President Alen Simonyan being in Estonia on an official visit met with the President of the Parliament of the Republic of Estonia Lauri Hussar and the parliamentarians.
Alen Simonyan, welcoming the colleagues, thanked them for the invitation to the meeting and the warm reception.
The RA NA President highly appreciated Armenia-Estonia bilateral interstate relations and emphasized the continuous promotion of inter-parliamentary relations.
“Armenia highly values Estonia’s unconditional support for the agenda of democratic reforms being implemented in Armenia, as well as for the deepening of Armenia-EU relations,” the Head of the Parliament said.

Lauri Hussar stated about the noticeable results of democratic reforms in Armenia and the activation of the Armenia-EU relations.
“Armenia is a democratic and reliable partner for us. Estonia is ready to support the rapprochement of the Armenia-EU relations in every possible way,” the Head of the Estonian Parliament mentioned.
The RA NA President Alen Simonyan presented the existing security problems in the region, highlighted the involvement of the EU in establishing peace in the South Caucasus.
“On the way to establishing peace, three main principles are important for Armenia: recognition of mutual territorial integrity, delimitation and demarcation in accordance with the Alma-Ata Declaration,” Alen Simonyan underscored.
They discussed the possibilities of developing Armenia-EU relations, Armenia-Estonia bilateral and multilateral trade-economic and cultural cooperation, the expansion of Armenian-Estonian inter-parliamentary relations.
The meeting of the Speakers of Parliaments was followed by a working lunch with the Estonia-Armenia Friendship Group.
At the end of the meeting, Alen Simonyan left a note in the book of Honored Guests, toured the National Assembly of the Republic of Estonia.
