Within the framework of the official visit to the Republic of Estonia, the delegation led by the RA NA President Alen Simonyan was received by the Prime Minister of Estonia Kaja Kallas.
“Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, our countries have been conducting a high-level political dialogue, however, there is a great unrealized potential for cooperation in bilateral relations,” Alen Simonyan noted.
The Head of the Parliament of Armenia highlighted the Armenian-Estonian cooperation in the spheres of cyber security, border security systems, digitalization and high-tech industry.
The RA NA President introduced to the Prime Minister of Estonia the Crossroads of Peace project put forward by the Government of Armenia, emphasized the importance of Estonia’ s support in the context of the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan negotiations and the establishment of security and peace in the region. He also presented to the Prime Minister the issue of the return of the Armenian prisoners of war held in Azerbaijan, to which Azerbaijan shows a destructive approach.

The possibilities of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in trade, economy and other fields were discussed at the meeting. The interlocutors touched upon the perspective of the Armenia-EU relations.
Alen Simonyan thanked the Prime Minister of Estonia for the warm hospitality of the Armenian delegation and the constructive dialogue.
At the end of the meeting, Alen Simonyan left a note in the book of Honored Guests.
