ARMENPRESS: The US Agency for International Development is focused on strengthening Armenia’s energy security and independence, and stabilizing food security, Erin McKee, the Assistant Administrator for Europe and Eurasia at the United States Agency for International Development said during a press conference.
“Our new $8.6 million program will improve Armenia’s access to renewable energy and integration capabilities. Additionally, contingency planning will enable Armenia to systematically respond to supply disruptions while enhancing energy efficiency.
This funding will also bolster Armenia’s ability to better address critical cybersecurity vulnerabilities in the country’s energy infrastructure,” McKee said.
According to her, USAID will also help stabilize Armenia’s food security by supporting the efforts of Armenian farmers to increase grain production and storage.
