STATEMENT BY THE «ARMENIAN PROJECT» ORGANIZATION ON THE LATEST MILITARY-POLITICAL CRISIS IN ARMENIA
The «Armenian Project» organization regarding the latest military-political crisis in Armenia states:
- The steps taken by the de facto authorities of Armenia to transfer lands to Azerbaijan in the eastern Tavush region, in the northeastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, within the forested area between Tavush and Lori regions are manifestations of Turkish genocide policy in the Armenian-Turkish conflict that has spanned centuries on Armenian territory (Armenian Highland).
- The rise of anti-Armenian authorities at the helm of the Republic of Armenia has been made possible due to social and political engineering conducted within our state by Turkey, Azerbaijan, and their allied foreign forces for decades. This engineering has exclusively served a military-political goal to facilitate the capture of Artsakh and other Armenian lands. Allegorically speaking, this is a millennia-old strategy of taking the castle from within, conducted using modern technologies.
- The surrender of the aforementioned territories will strike a serious blow to Armenia. The most fortified defensive line of the Armenian Armed Forces will be destroyed, the moral-psychological state of the army will worsen, the road connecting Armenia with Georgia will come under full enemy control, and dozens of villages will become uninhabitable for the Armenian population, repeating the fate of villages in the Syunik and Gegharkunik regions. The cities of Ijevan and Dilijan will be deprived of development prospects, including their tourist attractiveness. Gegharkunik region will also become vulnerable from the north. Azernaijan, from the forest massif of Verin Voskepar, will gain unhindered access to the Lori region.
- Of course, this will not lead to peace, which is manipulatively propagated by the de facto authorities of the RA, as after gaining new territories, Azerbaijan’s appetite will only increase, as happened after the temporary occupation of Artsakh. Subsequently, Azerbaijan will capture Tigranashen, in the center of the Ararat region, and the road leading to Iran, turning it from a highway connecting the north of Armenia with the south into a road for military invasion towards Yerevan.
- The «Armenian Project,» relying on political science and common sense, calls on political forces that have taken on the responsibility for the fate of Armenia to face the real threats looming over Armenia’s millennia-old statehood, to develop mechanisms to resolve disagreements among themselves and to formulate a real political consolidation. Only in this way can a chance for success be obtained.
- The «Armenian Project» is ready to facilitate the proposal of such mechanisms, the possibilities of their application, and implementation.
