I have sent letters to the ambassadors of the G7 countries regarding our compatriots kept in Baku prisons
It is obvious that the call made by the G7 foreign ministers to Azerbaijan through the statement to fully fulfill its obligations under international humanitarian law and to encourage appropriate steps to ensure the safe and sustainable return of refugees and displaced persons to their homes will, unfortunately, remain unfulfilled.
Azerbaijan has long disregarded all calls, demands, decisions regarding the crimes, abuses and illegalities committed against Armenia, Artsakh and the Armenian people.
The clear evidence of this is the illegal imprisonment of at least 23 Armenians in Baku prisons, some of whom, in particular the leadership of Artsakh, are not even being tried to be detained under the guise of illegal trial, confirming that these people are prisoners in accordance with all international norms.

It is high time to talk with Azerbaijan in the language of sanctions, which is the only possible tool to force them to fulfill their obligations under international law.
We call to demand Azerbaijan to release immediately all prisoners and detained persons, otherwise imposing extremely severe sanctions.
