On April 30, the deputies of the RA NA Armenia Faction the deputies Artur Khachatryan and Armen Gevorgyan and the deputy of With Honor Faction Anna Mkrtchyan met with the delegation led by the Director-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations Gert Jan Koopman.
The Head of the delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos attended the meeting.
Welcoming the guests, the Armenian parliamentarians valued the programmes being implemented by the support of the European Union in our country, noting that they are important in terms of the sustainable development of the country and the improvement of the life quality.

At the meeting reference was made to the RA-EU Comprehensive and Enhancement Partnership Agreement. As Anna Mkrtchyan observed, the implementation process of the Agreement does not actively go on. Emphasizing the EU assistance in the solution of the humanitarian problems of the Armenian population displaced from Nagorno Karabakh, the MP raised the issues regarding the right to self-determination of those displaced and the return to their settlements.
Artur Khachatryan and Armen Gevorgyan spoke about the security situation existing in the region, referred to the inner-political situation, the protection of human rights and the problems related to democracy.
