On May 2, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan received Mohammad Mehdi Imanipour, Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance and Head of the Organization of Culture and Islamic Relations of Iran.
During the meeting, the rich history of Armenia-Iran cultural cooperation and its future prospects were touched upon. The sides commended the efforts of Armenia and Iran towards preserving the unique monuments of the cultural heritage of the Armenian and Iranian peoples present in both countries.
The parties also touched upon the prospects of cooperation between the two countries on international multilateral cultural platforms, particularly within UNESCO.
