Tvapatum: The Art of Standards! USAID supports freedom of expression and free press in Armenia.
The 2024 Tvapatum conference was organized around the theme of the “art of standards” and featured panel discussions, workshops, and thoughtful conversations focusing on modern reporting standards, media self-regulation, and responsible journalism. The conference was supported by the USAID-funded Media Program in Armenia that is implemented by Internews in cooperation with Media Initiatives Center, Yerevan Press Club, and Zinc Network.
“It is a moment to once again reflect on just how essential professional and independent journalism is in shaping the public discourse, informing citizens’ life decisions, and upholding democratic values,” said USAID/Armenia Mission Director John Allelo in his opening speech.
Through initiatives like this, USAID supports professional excellence in Armenian media and promotes media consumers’ access to public interest journalism.
