With the adoption of the drafts, the control aimed at regulating slaughterhouse activities will be tightened. In case of detection of violations, the official carrying out state control will have a legal basis to suspend or stop the slaughterhouse activity in case of inspections. Authorizing norms are defined as well.
The NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Protection debated the legislative package on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Veterinary Medicine and on Making Addenda to the Code of the Republic of Armenia on Administrative Offenses in the second reading.
According to the RA Deputy Minister of Economy Tatevik Sargsyan, after the first reading, the package was revised, editorial work and addenda were made to ensure legal certainty.
