The leaders and representatives of the four opposition non-parliamentary parties—the “Republic” Party, the “For the Republic” Party, the European Party, and the Christian-Democratic Party—met.
The participants of the meeting expressed their determination to make efforts.
– In the making of Armenia’s independence and sovereignty and fulfilling the European integration, which they see in the strengthening of Armenia’s Western policy and Armenia’s full membership in the European Union and NATO,
– In the fight against the threats coming from Russia, which threaten Armenia’s sovereignty, threats, that are expressed in the current public processes that undermine the internal political stability of the country,

– The improvement of Armenia’s internal political life, reforms, adequate protection of human rights and fight against corruption, in the implementation of vetting especially in the judicial and law enforcement systems, which remain unresolved due to the inconsistency of the authorities and problematic personnel policies,
– In the conclusion of the peace treaty with Azerbaijan of based on the principles of the Alma-Ata Declaration, and the successful completion of the demarcation and demarcation process,
– With the fair resolution of the Artsakh problem and the implementation of international legal and political mechanisms to ensure the return, security, and rights of the Armenians of Artsakh,
as well as reaffirming their loyalty to their positions expressed so far together with the civil forces, which were fixed, in particular, in the Statement of February 21, 2023 (Yerevan), the Statement of September 30, 2023 (Yerevan), the Statement of November 13, 2023 (Brussels), in the Statement of March 28, 2024 (Yerevan), as well as deepening the tradition of consensus and cooperation among themselves, they decided to form a Platform of the Democratic Forces of Armenia.
Founding the platform, leaders of political forces, participating in the event, expressed their steadfast commitment to the people of Armenia, aiming to create an environment necessary for the effective communication of like-minded political and civil forces. This permanent “round table” will foster the convergence of approaches to the political and civil problems and challenges facing the Republic of Armenia and its citizens. It will also provide a platform to address various issues related to forming joint positions and implementing joint actions.
The forces that participated in the meeting did not restrict the possibility of further enlargement and deepening cooperation.
