I am profoundly saddened to learn of the tragic passing of President Ebrahim Raisi, accompanied by Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, East Azerbaijan Province Governor Malek Rahmati, and Tabriz Friday Imam Mohammad Ali Ale Hashem.
Sharing the profound sorrow of this irreparable loss, I extend to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia and in his person, to the friendly nation of Iran and its people, my deepest condolences and unwavering support.
In this difficult time, I wish the relatives of the victims strength, courage, and resilience.
P.S. This morning, I routed a letter of condolence to Iran’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, as a member of Armenia-Iran Friendship group of National Assembly of Republic of Armenia.
