On May 20, the Vice President of the National Assembly of Armenia, the Head of the Armenia-Georgia Friendship Group Ruben Rubinyan received the delegation led by the Chair of the Culture Committee of the Georgian Parliament Eliso Bolkvadze.
The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport Sisak Gabrielyan was present at the meeting.
Welcoming the guests, Ruben Rubinyan underlined that the recent active mutual visits of the parliamentarians show that Armenia-Georgia relations are becoming more active at all levels. The NA Vice President spoke about the necessity to bring cultural cooperation to a new level.
Eliso Bolkvadze mentioned that the Committee he chairs in the Georgian Parliament is newly established and the first memorandum aimed at developing relations was signed with the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport of the National Assembly of Armenia.

Regional issues were also discussed at the meeting. The parties attached importance to the establishment of long-term peace in the South Caucasus.
