Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, Chairman of the Pan-Armenian Games Organizing Committee, Arayik Harutyunyan participated in the session of the Executive Committee of the “World Committee of Pan-Armenian Games” NGO at the newly opened office of the World Committee of Pan-Armenian Games.
Ishkhan Zakaryan, Chairman of the Pan-Armenian Games World Committee, members of the Executive Committee from Armenia and the Diaspora also participated in the meeting.
The agenda of the session included issues related to the holding and organization of the second Pan-Armenian Winter Games, the construction of the Pan-Armenian Games Village, the formation of city councils, the approval of the telethon schedule, personnel and regulatory changes, as well as the presentation of the financial report of the eighth Pan-Armenian Summer Games.
Arayik Harutyunyan made a speech of welcome, thanked for the invitation and noted that it is an honor for him to carry out the work of organizing the Pan-Armenian Games with the honorable members of the Executive Committee. The Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister also congratulated on the occasion of the newly opened office of the World Committee and noted that it will enable the work related to the Pan-Armenian Games to be carried out in a better and organized manner. “Of course, we have a lot to do in the near future. I want to say that there are certain duties that we do because it is our duty, but this is the work that both I and the staff, our team, do with great pleasure, because it is aimed at solving a number of problems, strengthening the state, Armenia-Diaspora cooperation, to the development of sports, to which we pay great attention,” Arayik Harutyunyan emphasized.

Referring to the development of sports infrastructures, Arayik Harutyunyan noted. “By the time of the next Games, we will have a much better, developed infrastructure. You’ve already seen some progress during these games, we’ll have much more opportunities in the next one. We will open a number of large sports complexes, in particular, the sports complex named after Artur Aleksanyan, where there will be an opportunity to hold more than ten sports.”
Ishkhan Zakaryan, the Chairman of the World Committee of the Pan-Armenian Games, thanked the Armenian government for the great investment and support in organizing the Pan-Armenian Games.
Next, the preliminary version of the Pan-Armenian Games Village project was presented to the participants of the session. It was noted that the design works of the Village are in progress, for the construction of which the schedule of telethons will be approved.
