We highlight the cooperation with France at all levels. We are glad that the Armenia-France parliamentary ties are also dynamically developing. The support of France to Armenia is invaluable. The Head of the RA NA Armenia-France Friendship Groups Vladimir Vardanyan said this, welcoming the delegation led by the Vice President of Provence–Alpes–Côte d’Azur region, the Mayor of Aix-en-Provence Sophie Joissains in parliament.

The meeting took place on June 5, in which the members of the Armenia-France Friendship Group Lusine Badalyan, Irina Gasparyan, Anna Grigoryan, Artur Khachatryan and Aghvan Vardanyan took part.

“Aix-en-Provence was one of the first cities that recognized the Armenian Genocide. We have a big community, many friends. I believe that we should more deepen our friendship, expand the cooperation in all spheres,” Sophie Joissains said, thanking hosts for warm reception. She informed that in September 2024 it is planned to devote 15 days to Armenia in Aix-en-Provence as a sign of friendship and continuous cooperation.

Mentioning that since 2021 Armenia is experiencing a rather hard period, Sophie Joissains expressed readiness to support the population forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh.
